To provision all these different phones we were using substring hardware match on the first 6 digits of the MAC address. It will get a ip address outside the pool. And this will go to option 66 and tring to get a snom firmware.

Did read this articel but with no use. Im reading in the Pfsense manual that maching partial of the MAC address is possible. So why is the pool not working for me? Where i could pass dhcp options and this would match on mac digitis. The option are the same. Also edit the dhcpd.
Yes i know that a restart would set the dhcpd.

Hi Doug,Thank you for those suggestions. I might try removing everything that's not necessary and leave only the declaration for moulton and see if it then works. October 6th, 6. October 7th, Hi daniel A few thoughts: In my experience, when this doesn't work is because the previous lease is still valid, and then renewed instead of getting a new one. Try this: Take down the isc-dhcp-server on the server.
Start isc-dhcp-server again. Hope it helps.

That explained most things and brought me further a couple of steps but it seems that the class match isn't working as intended or, again, I am misunderstanding how to apply it properly. Totally confusing me.

If you are using deny unknown-clients then you must have host entries for the clients you want to allocate addresses just entry name and corresponding hardware ethernet address. As for the class match - I don't remember all of the details it's been some time since I played with it but you may need to prepend OUI part of MAC address with 1 to indicate ethernet address.
